Alright. As you all may presently know, the user system on this site is not as efficient as it could be. If you throw it all together, you will end up with ~100+ files in the root directory of your site. I propose that we all pitch in to create a new user system, as a tutorial of course, but make it compatible with the old add-ons etc. It'll be a huge project, yes. But, it may also help us pull people to the site by showing we really are active and alive.
So, with this said, what do you guys think? Ideas? Suggestions?

Oh And reputation
Ie.
if you post a tutorial your rep goes up and if people rate your tutorial add up rep depending on rating also in the forum the more you post the more your reputation goes up (Optional) |

Are we talking about the user system itself (what i made) or the addons for the system?
If the one I made, i was going to recode it soon anyway.
Theres no way getting round the number of files, only like 5?

You can break down the codes and combine them into one file, but make it more efficient. |

I really love this idea. A few months ago , I saw the User System Tutorials , and it totally helped me break down PHP , and I loved the addons for it. I am now an expert in mostly everything PHP , and I would love to help with this . I am now the owner of www.finalriot.com , which is still under construction , but I used RMB's-User Script, but modified it..alot. I modified it to OOP , and added a lot of addons, which I wouldn't mind sharing with this new Re-Do.
But, I suggest we keep the old tutorials too, as .. I love them .. XD:D |
